Bio
Cecil Remmler is a composer, producer, and musician born on 12.12.1988 in Basel, Switzerland.
In 2010, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, on scholarship, where he studied Film Scoring and Electronic Production & Design. Cecil is an accomplished instrumentalist, performer, arranger composer and producer, who has been writing and programming since the age of 11.
A natural born musician, he joined the Conservatory in Lanzarote, Spain at the age of 6 and has played the piano for over 10 years, and has extensive knowledge of theory. To better understand his role as a Film Scorer, Cecil also has experience playing the Cello, and Drums/Percussion.
As a teen, Cecil was in a pop group with his two brothers: CecilJonniLauro. They had 2 successful singles in Europe; both of which Cecil cowrote and co-produced.
Over the years, Cecil has utilized his talents and fine ear, by producing and composing for many projects, including:
- Co-producer for the upcoming album "One" by Edita, winner of the German X Factor
- Remixes for multiple bands, including top German bands, 2raumwohnung and Empty Trash
- Co-producer and co-writer for Stephan Remmler's 2006 album "1,2,3,4…"
- Film Scorer for German major Motion picture "Vollidiot"
- Multiple scores for German TV and films
In 2009, while still at Berklee, Cecil was chosen as the musical director for the EVVY awards, the biggest student-run awards show in the United States.
Currently, Cecil is working with other producers and song writers, some of his recent work can be heard on this site.
